The 23rd International Symposium on Mine Planning and Equipment Selection

The 23rd International Symposium on Mine Planning and Equipment Selection (MPES) took place in South Africa 9-11 of November, 2015 with support of the Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM). The key objective of MPES was to provide a platform for researchers from academic institutions, professionals from mining companies, practitioners from consulting companies, equipment suppliers (OEMs) and software providers to share the latest global developments in mine planning and equipment selection across all commodities for the benefit of the mining industry in improving efficiencies and safety. At this Symposium attended about 170 participants from 26 counties. Sergei Sabanov gave his talk on the topic: “OPEN PIT SCHEDULING FEATURES TO IMPROVE PROJECT ECONOMY”.
