New Practice Leaders for SRK Kazakhstan

SRK is pleased to announce that from 1 May 2017, SRK UK has appointed new Practice Leaders to its SRK Kazakhstan practice, located in Almaty.

Mike Beare will be General Manager of the SRK Kazakhstan practice and will be responsible for mining and project enquiries (mbeare@srk.co.uk, mbeare@srk.kz). Mike has a long track record of working in Central Asia including the completion of several feasibility studies for a number of significant mining projects.

Martin Pittuck will be the Practice Leader for geology and mineral resource enquiries (mpittuck@srk.co.uk, mpittuck@srk.kz). Martin has many years’ experience in resource evaluation and mineral resource estimation globally and has undertaken numerous projects in Kazakhstan in recent years.

The SRK Kazakhstan office will retain the same premises in Almaty, which will be staffed full time to support SRK’s continued activity in the region. For general enquiries please contact Shamil Tyncherov (styncherov@srk.kz).

The above changes are the result of recent restructuring of SRK UK’s consulting practice in Kazakhstan, which was made necessary by the challenging market conditions experienced in recent years. SRK would like to express its sincere gratitude to all departing and remaining staff who have managed and supported client projects and who have helped SRK establish a meaningful foothold in the region since starting our office in Almaty in 2010. In particular, SRK would like to acknowledge the dedicated efforts of Nikolai Yenshin and Elena Reshto who have had long term and leading roles and we wish them well in their new endeavours.
