SRK uses it’s technical knowledge as follows:

• IFRS – Accountants require an opinion on the accuracy and reliability of mineral resource estimate, ore reserves estimates, mine life and closure costs.
• Equity finance – Most stock exchanges require a Mineral Expert’s Report of the R+R estimate, production and cost forecast and working capital and that this report be prepared by experts who are independent of the company.
• Debt financing – Similarly banks require independent reviews of the project when providing project finances.
• Mergers and acquisitions – SRK can provide a team of appropriately experienced engineers and analysts to analyze the risks and opportunities associated with a merger or acquisition, and quantify these so that a price can be formed and negotiations structured.
